Why surge protection?
During the summer months, electrical installations and systems are particularly at risk from atmospheric discharges. The destruction of hazard alert systems by lightning strikes or surges could result in death or severe injury if safety-related system functions are no longer available.
Moreover, surges could lead to false messages and alarms in the systems and consequently to high follow-up costs.
It is therefore necessary to integrate hazard alert systems into an adequate lightning and surge protection concept.
