Universal arrester for different voltage ranges

Pluggable, multipole, universal lightning current / surge arrester for information technology systems. The arrester can be used for all voltages in the range from 0 to 180 V. The LifeCheck-equipped arrester module allows contactless and fast testing of SPDs by means of a mobile reader or a stationary condition monitoring system. The arrester module and base part have to be ordered separately.

User software for indicating the status of DRC MCM XT monitoring systems and LifeCheck-equipped BLITZDUCTOR modules by means of “Status Display” as well as additional service features for testing, programming and resetting protection modules via the integrated “Service Console” module. The software can be installed on a standard PC using a RS485/USB interface converter of the type “USB-NANO 485”, which is available as accessory.

Software

DPRO 230 LAN 100 – Combined surge protective device for the power side and the data input for protecting LAN components. Suitable for Gigabit Ethernet!

The DEHNprotector 230 LAN 100 combined surge protective device protects electrical devices with LAN connection. The surge protective device is equipped with a visual status and fault indication on the power side and on the data side, it features RJ45 terminals and protects all four pairs by means of a low-capacitance diode matrix each. It meets Cannel Class D requirements in accordance with EN 50173 and is thus suitable for 1000Base-T (Gigabit Ethernet). A high-quality patch cable (Cat 5e) with a length of 1.5 m is included.

BXT ML2 BD DL S 15 – Lightning current and surge arrester for Dupline BUS systems

The BXT ML2 BD DL S 15 surge protection module complements the BLITZDUCTOR XT series. It is a space-saving combined arrester module with LifeCheck function for protecting 1 pair of balanced and galvanically isolated interfaces and is particularly coordinated with the requirements of Dupline buses. It is suited for the protection of terminal equipment, which only has an immunity according to test level 1 in accordance with EN 61000-4-5. If the module is plugged into the BLITZDUCTOR^® base part (Part No. 920 300), the arrester features optional terminals for direct or indirect shield earthing via a gas discharge tube.

LifeCheck monitoring allows easy and inexpensive testing of SPDs and even detects pre-damaged components thus increasing protection and availability of your Dupline application.

DRC LC M3+ - Portable LifeCheck reader

The portable device with LifeCheck sensor for flexible use allows easy and fast testing of LifeCheck-equipped arresters and provides visual and acoustic indication. The device with additional USB connection includes a database software for PC-aided management of arresters under test and documentation of test results. The DRC LC M3+ device features a new snap-on LifeCheck sensor, allowing SPD testing without holding the sensor.

Parameterisation of arresters for condition monitoring is also possible.

BLITZDUCTOR^® XT Ex (i) – New surge arrester type for potentially explosive atmospheres

Pluggable, four-pole, universal surge arrester for intrinsically safe systems. The LifeCheck-equipped arrester modules allow fast testing of SPDs by means of DEHNrecord LC in non-explosive atmospheres.

DPI CD HF EXD 5 DEHNpipe for Profibus DP – Flameproof surge arrester for use in zone 1 for field devices

DPI CD HF EXD 5 M surge protective devices are specifically designed for the protection of field devices in potentially explosive atmospheres and can be universally used in zone 1 due to the degree of protection of the flameproof capsule. The electrical properties were dimensioned for the protection of measuring circuits and RS485 bus systems.
The surge arrester can be even used for frequencies up to 100 MHz due to its low-capacitance design. The metal housing is hexagon-shaped similar to a cable gland. The DPI CD HF EXD 5 M surge arrester can be easily installed by means of screwing it to the spare cable gland of the field device thus allowing easy retrofit even in case of confined space.
