An energy management system with peak load regulation ensures adapted and reduced power consumption. We use the latest low-consumption compressor technology to generate compressed air. The use of waste heat and rapid action doors reduces energy loss in buildings.

Mobility

The vehicles of our modern fleet are equipped with low-emission and low-consumption technology ("start-stop-function", particulate filter). The exhaust gases of our commercial vehicles are cleaned or emissions by SCR catalytic converter technology.

Recycling Management

Recycling Mangement

Individual disposal processes and container systems as well as regular employee training ensure contemporary waste collection and recycling management.
Residual material from production is recycled separately.
Our lubricant management for the maintenance of our product facilities helps to extend their service life, thus reducing the amount of waste.

Safety and Monitoring

We safely store liquids and chemicals that are hazardous to water in special rooms/storage areas.
Systems that are potentially harmful to the environment or systems where hazardous substances are processed are integrated in the building management system.
These systems are systematically monitored by external or in-house skilled workers.

Brightness-controlled lightning systems or programmed switching times ensure need-based lightning in the production and administration areas.

Water

Water

In some sanitary facilities we use rain water instead of precious drinking water to flush the toilets.
The unused rain water returns to the natural cycle via several infiltration points an a pond system.

Environmental protection is coordinated in a separate department. This department is involved in investment decisions, changes of production processes and corporate processes.
Every employee is obliged to implement our corporate environmental policy.

DEHN - protects the environment

Although back then the term "environmental protection" did not even exist in everyday language, we have been caring about the environment since the foundation of our company in 1910 – for everything that can be protected with our products belongs to the environment and should be protected.

All damage to buildings or material assets inevitably has direct or indirect negative effects on the environment and thus on people (for example fire, destruction or additional resources and energy for reconstruction or reinvestment).
